THE HOUSE RULES

Liverpool Rummy

Three or four players, with friends online or bots. Play seven rounds; the lowest total penalty score wins. Two decks, four jokers.

Play online: Create a table and copy the invite link for friends, or enter their invite code. Add bots to fill empty seats. The host starts when three or four seats are filled.

  1. Draw, then discard. After the buy choices, draw one card. Select one card and discard it to end your turn, even after laying down or adding cards.
  2. Make the contract. Select cards for every required set and run, check the preview, then lay them down together. A set has equal ranks. A run has consecutive ranks in the same suit; aces are low.
  3. Use your jokers. Jokers are wild. Sets need at least as many natural cards as jokers. Runs need at least one natural card.
  4. Buy before you’re down. Before each player draws, every other eligible player chooses Buy or Pass. You cannot buy your own discard. The first buyer clockwise takes the discard plus one stock penalty card. Buying adds two cards and does not replace your own draw and discard. You may buy as often as you want before laying down.
  5. Add to the table. After laying down your contract, add selected cards to any valid meld. Keep one legal card for your final discard in every round.
  6. Discard to finish every round. Round 7 needs three sets of at least four. Keep one card for the final discard, just as in the other rounds.
